Senior PHP/Symfony Developer · Freelance · Remote · Flexible Timezone

I turn business needs into software that works — and keeps working as it grows.

Currently available for new engagements

Over a decade with a Dutch product company. A patient portal with 2.5M+ users. Billing systems handling real revenue. I build software that works — and improve it while it's live. Available for freelance, contract, or B2B — remote, flexible timezone.

Kaushik Prajapati, PHP/Symfony Backend Engineer

Freelance / contract

What I bring to a team.

Production-Grade PHP/Symfony Systems

I build backend architecture for products handling millions of users. APIs, integrations, databases — designed to scale and maintain.

Complex Business Logic, Clean Code

Billing, healthcare portals, booking platforms — I turn messy business rules into clean, maintainable software.

Seamless Remote Collaboration

Over a decade working remotely with international teams. Clear communication, independent delivery, timezone flexibility.

Zero-Downtime Modernization

I modernize live systems incrementally. No risky rewrites. Your users never notice the upgrade — they just get a better product.

Profile

Remote from India. EU hours. Product work that lasts.

I build and improve software that businesses depend on — patient portals, billing systems, booking platforms. My job is to deliver working solutions, connect them to the rest of the business, and keep shipping new capabilities without disruption. I'm a senior PHP/Symfony developer. But beyond the tools, what I deliver is this: I understand your product, your users, and your business — then I build software that makes your company safer and faster to grow. Over a decade with a Dutch product company and international teams, working remotely from India with flexible timezone overlap. Before that, fourteen years at IndiaNIC, growing from developer to senior engineer on commercial platforms. I value long-term product relationships — not short visits.

AI as a production concern

I am adding LLM skills the same way I ship backends: auth, failure modes, and maintainability — not notebook demos.

Career

Experience.

Jan 2015 — Present

Senior Engineer — Freelance / Contract

LinkORB Engineering

Eleven years with a Dutch product company, overlapping European morning and afternoon hours. I help keep live products running and growing — including ZwangerenPortaal.nl, a patient portal used by millions of new parents.

Value to the organisation

  • The product stays available while it still has to change
  • New capabilities ship without a “stop everything and rewrite” moment
  • Independent delivery, explained in language a European team can act on
  • Long-running product work, not a short visit
Mar 2012 — Jul 2021

Senior Engineer

IndiaNIC Infotech Limited

I owned commercial web products from the first conversation about the need through design, build, test and release. Clients got something they could run a business on — not only a technical design.

Impact

  • End-to-end ownership of features on products that stayed in use for years
  • Estimates and delivery that product teams could plan around
  • Software structured so the next change was cheaper than the last
  • Raised the bar for how work was explained and handed over
Jan 2007 — Mar 2012

Developer

IndiaNIC Infocom Limited

I built and maintained production web applications: new features, fixes, and the data behind them. This is where I learned full-cycle delivery — a request from a client becomes something people can use.

Aug 2006 — Nov 2006

PHP Programmer

Intelsoftsolutions Pvt. Ltd

Commercial PHP development; start of a career in production web applications.
